About Us
We offer an inspection service utilising a remote operated vehicle (ROV) to give either your Potable or Fire water tank a maintenance check and identify any service issues that require attention. While there are many ROV service companies you can call on, our inspections couple the use of ROV technology with over 30 years of direct water tank construction and liner installation experience. We provide you with an independent inspection report which contains all the information you need to comply with AS1851-2012 and request quotes for any required repairs.
How we’re different:
-
No need to enter water tanks – no OH&S risk
-
No need to empty water tanks – keep services on line
- Independent assessment – no vested interest in finding faults
- Extensive water tank industry experience
- Are capable of performing inspections and cleans for both Fire and Potable water tanks
- Australia-wide service from our bases in WA, SA, NT, VIC and NSW
The benefits of using our inspection services are significant:
- We undertake the work at a time convenient to you with no additional charges for weekend or out of standard hours work for inspections, compliant to AS1851-2012. Safety is our paramount concern and our philosophy is that fire and potable tanks should be inspected at a time when there is the least amount of risk exposure.
- We actively support safe work methods and prepare safe work method statements and conduct a job safety anlaysis for each job. Our inspectors are all provided with current (updated every 2 years) Confined Space and Working at Heights training, full personal protective equipment and a gas monitor (if entering an empty tank) to ensure work is conducted safely. The use of the ROV further protects our personnel.
- Our team has extensive experience in the construction of steel lined water tanks from 12,000 litres to 2.6 million litres, and has conducted many tank inspections, relines and repairs for clients across the country. This means that we can identify problems that require attention and recommend a solution.
- The comprehensive report and video footage we provide you with is yours. You can send the report and imagery to your preferred repair company without any question from us. Our focus is to inform you on the state of your asset and provide you with a comprehensive check list to facilitate ongoing maintenance.
- Wherever possible we remove the need for people to enter water tanks (full or empty), thereby reducing OH&S concerns; both from the perspective of personnel safety and maintaining your fire service while the inspection is undertaken. Should you experience a fire event while an inspection is under way, we can remove our equipment from the tank immediately and clear the area.
Our inspection services are used by:
- Fire management agencies to undertake the inspections required by AS1851-2012 compliance regimes;
- Facilities and building managers to identify the source of a leak or contamination;
- Asset maintenance firms in the preparation of dilapidation reports and identification of ongoing maintenance requirements;
- Remote communities with limited water supply to maintain their assets and schedule timely repairs;
- Mining companies prior to the commissioning and handover of water storage assets; and
- Anyone who cannot afford the time or cost to empty a large water tank to meet inspection requirements.
